- Prepare 1/2 cup of Rice.
- Provide 1/4 cup of Bengal gram (Chana dal).
- Provide 1/4 cup of Green gram (Moong dal).
- Provide 1/4 cup of Black gram (Urad dal).
- Get 2-3 of Green chilli.
- Take 1 ½” piece of Ginger (Adrak).
- Use 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder (Haldi).
- You need 1 cup of Bottle gourd (lauki) – (grated).
- You need ½ cup of Carrot (Gajar)– (grated).
- Provide 1 teaspoon of Baking powder or Eno salt.
- Take 1 ¼ teaspoon of Salt – to taste.
- Provide 1 tsp of Sugar – to taste optional.
- Provide 2 tsp of Lemon juice.
- Provide 2 tbsp of Green coriander.
- You need of For Tempering.
- Use 3 tablespoon of Oil.
- Get 1 teaspoon of Mustard seeds (Rai).
- Provide 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds (Jeera).
- Get 1 teaspoon of Sesame seeds (Til).
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Green coriander (Hara dhaniya) (chopped).
Instructions to make Baked Handvo:
- Wash and soak the rice and dals together for 4 to 5 hours. Drain and keep aside. Grind to a paste well.Allow to ferment overnight or at least 6-8 hrs..
